“How many slams in an old screen door? Depends how loud you shut it. How many slices in a bread? Depends how thin you cut it. How much good inside a day? Depends how good you live ’em. How much love inside a friend? Depends how much you give ’em.”
– Shel Silverstein
We knew we were in for a good time when…
We met this couple at Weddings Of Venice Expo last year at Hotel Venezia Ramada (catch us there 6-23-19 for some great offers). We met up for their engagement session at one of their favorite beaches in town on 11/11. Not only are we suckers for a good love story but we love numbers too! We enjoyed knowing the universe was providing us all with little signs that we are all on the right path. Come to find out Nicks family hails from Chicago, (Where I spent many years of my life). I kind of expected it off the bat with his laid-back Midwestern vibe & spot on sense of humor. The wedding was a blast. Jessica’s dress had the most amazing sparkle on the beach under the sunshine. Hugs were plentiful. Setting up the photo booth was such a breeze in between all the getting ready & bridal photos. This is one of our favorite things about working at the Plantation Golf & Country Club, it is a one stop wedding spot. There are bridal rooms, excellent decorators & designers, a bar, beautiful landscape, great location, huge dance floors & tons of different room plans for the evening. Oh and the food is great (super important) and the always feed us. Hey, your photographers get hungry. We are truly grateful to work as wedding photographers, being surrounded by love creates such a positive environment for us as a creative couple to thrive in! Thanks Nick & Jessica we will see you again soon.
As a member of Weddings of Venice, we always look forward to our annual Expo! We just love expo’s. We get to see all our fellow vendor friends and get to know some of the new vendors as well. Plus, we get to meet all the beautiful bride to be’s and show off all our awesome Photo Booth’s and props. This time we had a couple local celebrities hosting the event which was a lot of fun. They greeted some fans and got their photos taken in the booth. Good times were had, great prizes were won and we booked some excited weddings we get to look forward to. We are already planning for next year!
This was our second event on the day. While I was relaxing at Pamela’s Birthday Bash in Port Charlotte, Meg and her mom headed up to Sun and Fun in Sarasota to help Crisaliz and Francisco celebrate the best day of their lives! What a party it was, I think they may have set a new record for sessions during an event, I think smoke may have been coming out of the back of the printer, lol. Our Open Air Mirror Booth was rocking the night away, everyone was super excited and had their best poses ready to go. It’s nights like these that make it all worthwhile.
This was the first of two events this day. I got to go to North Port to help Pamela celebrate her birthday and Meg went to a Wedding in Sarasota. Believe it or not, this was Pamela’s very first Birthday Party! It was a small party for close friends and co workers. We do events of all shapes and sizes, and this time I got to hang out at a backyard birthday party. The grill was fired up and the drinks were flowing, perfect recipe for getting everyone warmed up for the Booth. Pamela selected our Classic White Booth for her birthday and couldn’t have been happier. I had a blast, they had a blast, even the dogs had a blast. First time we have had a doggie visit the Booth, never mind two in one day, how exciting!
Corporate events are some of our favorites people come to party & the music is always bumpin’! We love seeing hard working people kick back and let loose. The folks work hard every day creating better living for seniors and they deserve to be celebrated everyday really. The Curly wig is a personal favorite of mine and a favorite of party goers across time. This was the hair my mom had growing up, I kid you not (sorry mom I loved it then and love it now). There is something powerful in those curls, something that transforms every person it graces & we love watching what persona it evokes from each individual.
We packed up our gear and headed to Port Charlotte for this one. We were super excited to be at the Yacht Club for the first time. New venues are always fun and this one did not disappoint. Nor did the Wedding Party. This crew was ready to rock. Alex and Maddi decided to go with our very first booth, our Classic White Booth. We have had this Booth for 5 years now and it’s still a fan favorite. We know Open Air Booths are the rage now, but our Classic White Booth can do it all. Not only does it look stunning, it offers privacy inside whiles still packing in up to 6 people. More than 6 people? No problem, just open up the curtain and boom… instant Open Air Booth! Now you can get the entire wedding party in.
We recently had the pleasure of helping Taylor celebrate her graduation in style… She chose our Classic White Booth! After all these years our first Booth is still a favorite. Did you know we have 3 booths to choose from? We have our gorgeous Open Air Booth and Classic Traditional Booth’s that come in Black or White. Plus, our newest attraction, our inflatable LED Booth which is just about to be introduced into the lineup! Cheers girl, now life really starts.
What a blast it was to work with these two and their crew. So. Much. Fun! We were on double duty this day capturing all the moments of Alex and Jim’s big day before firing up the Photo Booth and rocking the night away. It was the first time we had been to this venue and what a treat it was. Truly a special place to get married. The Oaks are beyond beautiful and as a special surprise treat they bring the bride in with a horse and buggy! Congrats again Alex and Jim! You two are awesome and we wish you the best life ever.

We were so excited to get invited to another one of Karen’s Sales Event at Ivy’s. We love these ladies and had a great time capturing the fun. Space is tight and we ended up setting up our Venue Pro Booth in the dressing room! It worked out perfectly. Good times, great snacks, lot’s of wine and great friends, it was a wonderful day!
If you happen to be near Dearborn Street in Englewood, stop by Ivy’s and say hello, and remember, SHOP LOCAL!
